Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Is horse experience needed?

Answer: Absolutely not! Our horse partners interact with you as a participant in the activities which are all done on the ground. You will not be riding the horses.

Question: What if I don’t like horses or I'm afraid of them?

Answer: Anyone can participate in our L-E-A-D programs with the guidance of our facilitators. Our primary goal is to provide an environment that is conducive to learning while maintaining the safety of our participants, the horses, and our staff.

Question: Do I need special clothing or equipment?

Answer: No special equipment is required. Participants should wear long pants (jeans), closed toe shoes, and a shirt. Once registered, you will receive additional information regarding how to dress for the unpredictable weather in Northeastern Ohio. It's wise to layer clothes; we get some beautiful summer breezes at the farm and have some down right cold winters!

Question: Can the program be customized to the needs of our team, organization, or group?

Answer: Yes! Our instructors are business consultants and entrepreneurs. We specialize in creating designs that focus on the competencies and skills your team needs to develop. We partner with you to assess your groups' needs and create a workshop that contributes to your strategic goals.

Question: Do you have programs for individuals to develop leadership skills?

Answer: Yes! We have several workshops designed to develop your leadership skills. Since September 11, 2001 people are searching for a more meaningful life and defining what is important to them. Our horses heighten your awareness and allow the important things in life to surface. L-E-A-D is related to other experiential programs such as hiking, high ropes courses, or white-water rafting; however, we add the element of the horse. The horses bring with them all of their different personalities, attitudes, and moods just like humans. This allows you to recognize how you interact with other living beings in a safe environment and visibly see how changing attitudes and approaches make a difference.

Question: Where are you located?

Answer: We are located in Northeastern Ohio just southeast of Cleveland. While we are located in the country, we’re only 45 minutes from the Cleveland and Akron/Canton airports, and 75 minutes from Pittsburgh airport.
